Role Roster

1. Overview

Role Roster is designed to work with as little data as possible. The bot only receives data from Discord for servers where it has been invited, and only uses that data to show role rosters and keep posted rosters current.

2. Data the bot accesses through Discord

• Server data: server (guild) IDs and names, channel IDs.
• Role data: role IDs, names, and colors.
• Member data: usernames, display names, user IDs, and which roles each member holds. This comes from Discord's API using the Server Members intent, which server admins consent to when adding the bot.

3. Data the bot stores

• Posted roster records: when a roster is posted to a channel, the bot stores a small routing record (message ID, channel ID, server ID, role ID, and current page) so the posted roster can refresh automatically and its buttons keep working. Nothing about the message's viewers is stored.
• Purchase records: if a server or user buys paid features, the bot stores the purchase details needed to deliver them (such as the plan, the date, and the related Discord and server IDs). Payment card data is handled entirely by Stripe and is never seen or stored by the bot.

4. What the bot does not do

• It does not read, store, or log the content of members' messages.
• It does not track members outside the servers it is installed in.
• It does not sell personal data, and it does not use member data for advertising.

5. How data is shared

Data flows only to the services needed to run the bot: Discord (the platform the bot operates on), Stripe (payment processing for paid features), and our hosting provider, Discloud (which runs the bot). We do not share data with anyone else except where the law requires it.

6. Retention and deletion

• Posted roster records are deleted automatically when the posted message is deleted, the role is deleted, or the bot is removed from the server.
• Removing the bot from a server stops all processing for that server.
• To ask about data connected to a purchase, or to request its deletion, contact us at info@ronyaross.top. Some purchase records may need to be kept for tax and accounting obligations.

7. Children

Role Roster runs inside Discord and is intended for users who meet Discord's minimum age requirements. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone below the age Discord allows in their country.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The current version will always be posted on this page with its "last updated" date.
